Sundays are special in our family. They always have been. Sunday is our Sabbath and we spend the morning hours at church worship. The rest of the day is spent together as a family. One of our favorite things to do on a Sunday afternoon is getting together with my mom and sister and family for Sunday dinner. We usually rotate houses and this week it was my mom who hosted us all. She even invited her friends Bill and Barbara and Joan and Jake. There was a little of everything; horseshoe tossing, whiffleball playing, swinging, bubble blowing, hot tubbing, tree climbing, and lots of delicious food! This is called, “What Sunday Dinner at my Mom’s Looks Like in April”.
This project is a collaboration with an amazing group of other women photographers. Follow the next link in our circle to make the rounds this month, starting with the crazy talented Deb Schwedhelm | Tampa Child and Family Photographer.

This month I was inspired to create something with freedom and vintage in mind with a high fashion vibe. The field behind our house is blanketed with green and dotted with yellow flowers. Too soon the green hills will turn to gold as California is so well known for. I wanted to take advantage of the lushness before it changed. Here is what I ended up with for April.
And I’m breaking one of my rules this month and posting more than one image because I had a hard time deciding which I wanted to use. Here are the runners up.
Please make the rounds this month and be inspired by the beauty and the talent of the girls in this group starting with Martha Schuster | i see the moon photography | Long Beach, CA.
I’ve known Maren since she was a little girl. I’m just astounded by how quickly time goes by when I realize she is now preparing to head off to Brigham Young University in a few short months. But I’m so thrilled and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this amazing girl. Thank you, Maren and Leslie, for spending the afternoon with me so we could capture this pivotal moment in your life. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
And thank you to my amazing hair and make-up artist, Lauren McCullough, for your talent.
