This has been a crazy year full of change and growth.  I’ve loved getting to know new clients and getting to know better repeat clients who have become dear friends.  I am so grateful to my clients and my friends and my family for your support of me and my business this year.  As I look back on the past 12 months I can remember each and every session, each client with their own unique personalities, the, oftentimes nervous feelings I had going into the session and the joy and relief I felt later as I edited each session and created the images that represented that moment in time for each client.  I love this job to the moon and back and feel so fortunate to be able to do what I love each and every day.  I will continue into 2011 learning and growing my skills so that I can continue to capture real life moments for my own family as well as my present and future clients that they will treasure for years to come.

Here are a few of my favorite images from each session this year.

Thank you so much for your continued support!

I also wanted to send a big humongous shout-out to my 19 fabulous fellow photographers who were featured on my 20 on Tuesday interviews this year.   They are generous and lovely and oh so inspiring.  Thank you!

I have already started lining up some amazing ladies to share with you in 2011, starting this coming Tuesday.  Stay tuned for more inspiration!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

to have two ideal clients in a row on the same day?

I think so!

And here’s proof.

I am just a little in love with this family and with their pictures.  She is a dear friend who has more enthusiasm than anyone I know.  She is always positive and smiling and excited to see you no matter how long it’s been since the last time.  A year.  A half hour.  She makes you feel like there’s nowhere she’d rather be than talking and catching up with you.  I LOVE that!

Take a little gander at her gorgeous family and their fantabulous styling.  I tell you, they looked incredible!

Merry Christmas, Calls!

I love it when clients have creative ideas!  Or clients who are up for my crazy ideas.  And these guys were both.  They had some specific ideas in mind for this session and  and I was looking for the perfect spot to make those ideas happen.  After lots of footwork and scouting different locations, I think we found it.

Thanks for being patient for this sneak peek.  You guys were so entertaining and easy-going and fun!

Enjoy!!!

This is what happens when I show her how I can laugh as loud and obnoxious as possible.

I so looked forward to photographing this family.

Not because they are good friends.  Although they are.

Not because they have fabulous style.  Although they do.

Not because they are easy-going.  Although they are.

I so looked forward to photographing this family because they have fantastic ideas!  I love and welcome any and all ideas for shoots no matter how ridiculously bizarre they may be.  I love love love sessions with minimal posing.  You may be wondering what you would do if you aren’t posing.  And that’s where great ideas come in.

These guys brought music to dance to.  They brought paper airplanes to fly.  They brought their unique personalities and talents that we were able to capture.  To me, lifestyle photography should tell more than what you looked like at that moment.  It should tell who you were at that moment.

The Riches are hilarious, sarcastic, modern, close, romantic, and fun-loving.  I so enjoyed our session my friends!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Sometimes sessions can seem really long when you’re this age…

Adorable does not begin to describe this family.  They were also laid-back, happy, playful, fun, and so easy to photograph.  I have to give a shout-out to Jake.  Many times at family sessions, the least excited about the whole idea is the husband.  Not so this time.  Jake happily followed my limited directions, got down and blew bubbles with the kids and didn’t complain one bit.  He even had ideas of his own and helped Katie engage the kids while I shot.  Katie, good pick.

My top collection (all images from the session on a  cd plus your choice of a handful of select print products)  now comes with a fabulous and fun high def video of your session as an option.

Katie and Jake,  Thanks for a fabulous evening session.  Click on the link below to enjoy the video!
