More from this fabulously fun session with my sister and her family…
My very favorite:
The real estate market is crazy here in the Bay Area. One day things are moving slowly and the next, there’s a wave of activity. The wave of activity has remained steady this spring and into the summer so far. Homeowners are busy buying and selling homes all over the Bay. As an agent, Jan Orsi of Better Homes Realty Lafayette, knows just how important it is to stay current, not only with the ever-changing real estate climate, but with her own community presence. Last week she came into the studio to update her head shots to something more contemporary and current. It was a quick and easy 20 minute session resulting in 15 gorgeous images. If you’re a professional with head shots more than 5 years old, please consider taking the time and making the investment to come in and update your pictures. Having a strong and engaging online presence is essential to your business success these days. And if you’re in the market to buy or sell in the Bay Area, please give Jan a call!
We just got home from an action packed July 4th week with my mom and my sister, Jennifer and her family in Utah. As I do every year, I took their family portraits. What I love most about them is their willingness to be creative and do something out of the ordinary. Last year, you may remember, we did haunted family portraits in an old house she was restoring. (We were actually the first guests in that now finished absolutely adorable 1905 cottage last week) The previous year we did a night time session with Christmas lights that you’ve probably seen on Pinterest. This year, she is doing a bedroom makeover project for HGTV and had a vision of a colorful fun session involving a surrey in mind for her portrait wall. So she found the surrey, organized the clothing and we headed out to a local park with a beautiful backdrop of the Wasatch mountains to shoot her beautiful and fun-loving family.
I’m sharing just one because I’m still working on the rest. But this one was one of my favorites.
I adore this girl. She’s so unique and sweet and talented. You may remember her from her album cover session a couple of years ago. That was such a fun session and I was thrilled when she contacted me to do her senior portraits. Kira is an incredible singer/songwriter and theater has been her focus lately and she’s dreaming of ending up in New York on Broadway one day. So we took that dream and incorporated it into her session. I love the fact that Kira is always smiling and laughing and for the life of her, can’t shake that positive attitude. When she pulled out this fabulous gold dress, my vision was this:
But to remain true to Kira’s personality, luckily this the way most of the session played out.
Here are some more of my favorites.
I’m so excited to get all of these images to you, Kira!
