Blooming in Dallas | Bay Area Photographer

February 28, 2011

It’s been a little over a week since I returned home from an amazing weekend in Dallas, Texas.  I attended the Bloom Face 2 Face Workshop taught by Brenda Acuncius and Kristy Lane.  I was able to finally meet 24 fellow photographers that I’ve been  corresponding with on the forum and some that I’m collaborating with on our Fifty-two on Friday project.  We spend three days shooting inside and outside, seniors and children and babies and families and I even shot a boudoir session.   I learned more about studio lighting and set up and fell a little in love with it.  I hope have a little studio set-up  in my home once we move out of  The Cave and into something more permanent in the next year.  And even though I thoroughly enjoyed the shooting part of the weekend, I was most endeared with the friendships I made and those that were strengthened even more.  I love this community of women that The Bloom Forum encompasses and  I’m thrilled to be a part of it.

Here are a few of my favorite  images I’ve edited so far.  Beware, there are a lot!

I couldn’t resist adding a few more from Nichole’s session.  Thanks again for a great session, Nichole. I can’t wait for the arrival of your sweet baby!

Gorgeous Mama|Boise, Idaho Maternity Photographer

February 19, 2010

Having had three kids of my own, I know how miserable it is to be at the very tail end of a pregnancy.  I remember looking and feeling like  waving the white flag in surrender.   I know I never looked this good at 38 weeks!  What a fun afternoon I spent with Nichole shooting the last little bit of her third pregnancy.  She was amazingly calm as I moved furniture, stood on chairs, laid on the ground, and changed lenses 572 times.  Thanks for allowing me to capture the fleeting moments of your pregnancy!
