Sweet sweet baby Sloane | Bay Area Newborn Photographer

I love my job. I can hardly even call it a job because I enjoy it so much. Especially when I get the opportunity to photograph sweet newborn itty-bitty ones.

Like beautiful Sloane.

I’m convinced that baby girls are much less sleepy than baby boys. She hung out with me for quite a while as I moved her here and there and wrapped her in blankets and tried on different headbands. She was perfectly happy, falling asleep toward the end of our time together. I was even able to take some sweet shots of her with her beautiful big sister who said her favorite thing about having a baby sister is, “That she gets to sleep in dresses”. Apparently dresses are important in this 4 year-old girl’s life and the chance to wear them to bed is pretty cool.

Baby Mallory | Bay Area Newborn Photographer

She is truly a beautiful newborn. And I spent the morning photographing her. This was such a fun newborn session. She was surrounded by love as her grandma and many of her aunts were there to enjoy her. I think she had a feeling something was up because she was intent on staying awake as much as possible. But with the heat cranked up, the fire roaring in the fireplace, a full belly and a lot of soothing, she didn’t stand much of a chance.

Thank you for allowing me to capture the newness of your sweet Mallory. Enjoy her!

Newborn Casting Call | Danville Photographer

I’m thrilled to be taking part in several workshops in the next couple of months! I’m working on refining my work specifically with natural light and newborns and am looking for some sweet babies to work with.

These casting call sessions will:

Be complimentary and include 3 digital images (however a disc of the session may be purchased at a special rate).
Be targeted towards capturing a single image /pose / prop (but if time and patience permits, additional poses and images will be attempted).
Require a model release permitting the images to be used on the blog, website, and Facebook as well as on other marketing materials for Wendy VonSosen Photography.
Be held in the convenience of your home .

The current casting call is for:

Newborns 10 days old or younger at the time of the session.
Clients who live within 15 miles of Danville
