Art Display Project | Breeze Floyd

January 4, 2012

I am a huge Breeze Floyd fan!  She is intriguing with all of her tattoos, a crazy creative artist, and such a generous person not to mention hilariously funny.  I’ve always been curious to see her home and today is the day!  Please welcome Breeze Floyd of Love Resembles as my guest blogger!

I grew up going to punk rock shows and had a ton of show flyers tacked to my walls to prove it. Somehow, that carried over into my photo displays. I realize tacks are not everyones cup of tea, but somehow, they are just so “me”. And, so, I present you with my tacked up images.

This wall is right when you walk in my house. My children love to see their work up there, too. It’s our “creativity wall”. Each of my children have a piece or two up, and my favorite 2nd grader, Addie, even contributed the blue horse piece.

This is the wall above our couch. I hope to add more to it, but it’s a good start.

This wall is actually where my canvases from my daughters session with Val Spring will go, once they arrive. (you can see the session here: http://www.theredballoonphotography.com/blog/miss-myra-in-seattle-seattle-child-photographer/) I think the color of my kitchen is so perfect for these images. For the time being, I just have this lone image of Myra.
Last but not least, my work area. The artwork is by my favorite tattoo artist, Ashley Love. (http://www.ohashleylove.com/). I like to be able to look up while working and see all of the things that make me smile!
I think it’s very important to display images in your home of the things that you love. My children love to look at these images, up on the wall, and enjoying the memories that go with them!
Thanks, Breeze!

Wendy- love love loving these posts every day! Kevin is wishing I would transfer my decorating energy to cleaning the garage, but instead I just ordered lots of prints and bought frames today for a fun wall display in Caitlin’s room. Finally her adorable 9 month photo shoot will be showcased somewhere!

    Thanks for the inspiration!

I looove the thumbtacks! My teen-years bedroom was 100% wallpapered with band posters and magazine images I loved… this is so similar to that and would totally do this in my house. And I love the inspiration just above your computer.
