This year I’ve teamed up with 19 fabulously talented photographers in a project called Fifty-Two Fridays.  Each week we have a theme and our challenge is to post an image that best represents that theme.  We are more than half-way through the year and I continue to be inspired and pushed creatively by my fellow photographers.  Last week’s VINTAGE theme was one of my favorites.

This week’s theme:

ruffles

My in-house model is out of commission after knee surgery yesterday so I was about ready to stick a tutu on the poor dog until a friend of my daughter, who was over visiting the patient, volunteered to be my model.  Of course, I couldn’t pass on that offer, so we snuck out to the field for a few shots.  She’s the kind of girl who always has a smile on her face.  For the life of her she could not pull a serious face, the giggles kept getting in the way.  I considered posting one of her beautiful smiles but this one was my favorite.   Thanks, H, for being my model yesterday!  You are a natural in front of the camera.

Now head on over and see what kind of ruffles Melanie Pitcher, Memphis, TN Photographer posted this week!
