June 10, 2010

We’re only into day 7 of summer vacation and the dreaded “B” word has already made it’s appearance.  You know which word I’m talking about.

“Mom, I’m so…

BORED!”

And since it’s only day 7 of summer vacation, my arsenal of boredom busters is still well stocked.  So I pulled out the “let’s bake something, kids!” suggestion.

Will looked through my cookbooks and after I nixed the jack-o-lantern cookies, Santa Claus cut-outs, and candy cane twists, we all agreed on good old-fashioned brownies from scratch.

That was yesterday.  And by this morning they were gone.  Not a crumb in sight.

I guess we can check that off our summer to-do list.

How’s your summer going?

At our house if you say you’re bored you have to take the trash out. If nothing else, it has built their vocabulary as they convey the sentiment without using the word.

As always, your photos are awesome. I like the third one best.
