« Last Call For October Special
Happy Birthday Mom! »

it’s the great pumpkin(s)!

October 4, 2009

pumpkin

Apparently we have a little green in our thumbs after all.

Our garden yielded 24 pumpkins this year!!!

We harvested yesterday.  It was downright cold.  I had to put a coat on for the first time this year!

And this is the first time I did not have to BUY cornstalks to decorate the front porch.

I made homemade breadsticks and corn chowder and we watched General Conference all day.  The only time I set foot outside was to take these pictures.

I LOVE fall!

    GORGEOUS pics!!!!!

We didn’t even try to do corn or pumpkins, but you have a bit more land for that ;)
Glad you had such a bountiful harvest this year!!!!

Okay, I must admit jealousy here. How gorgeous is your home??? Your photos are beautiful too!

First of all, Congratulations you Fan of the Week!!!! How exciting!

Second, I LOVE YOUR HOUSE! It’s beautiful. Looks like it came off the pages of a magazine. Can I come over for homemade chowder and watch General Conference? (Wasn’t it great, I loved Elder Holland’s talk and Pres. Monson’s talk, especially when he said “we are in the thick of thin things”. So true).

Third, it’s chilly???? I would like just a little touch of chilly right now. Two days ago the heat index was 103 and very humid. Yuck.

And finally, your pumpkins look great. Did you know Boise is on my very short list (which is shorter than my short list) of cities/towns that I want to live in.

    Beautiful photography as usual.

    Later,
    Annette

Your home is beautiful and the decorating you did…stunning. It really does belong on the cover of a magazine. You have such a wonderful eye for design.
