Becoming a Spinster

August 29, 2008

This morning while this was still out

And the clock read this

I dusted these off

And headed to this

How long does it take for something to become a habit?

I do great until a holiday comes up, or I get sick, or we go on vacation.

    Then I don’t go back for months….

It sounds fun. Did you like it?

  3. Sherine says:

A lot longer than it takes to become an unhabit.

I’m with Sherine! It does seem to be a lot easier to undo a good habit than it is to make one. Wave to me next time you’re up at five. I’ll be up shortly thereafter (5:15 or so).

That is just too early! But, good for you! Spinning is the best exercise, just not for me :) I’ve tried it and I felt like such a dork. I guess you need to try something more than once.

A few years back I did that with a friend of mine. If it weren’t for the motivation of my friend, I would have made a million excuses to stay in bed.

SPINNING is cool! Good for you for getting up and moving.

I am in good shape, but spinning classes totally kick my behind (and hurt it too! What did they base their seat comfort level on?–a rock?!).

Anyhow, the manager of the club I work out at actually had a heart attack teaching spinning a few months back. I figure if it can give an insanely healthy 42 year old man a heart attack, MAYBE I should avoid it :) ?! Try step classes!!!

Oh yeah, and I read somewhere that 90 days will form a habit. Or maybe that was a hobbit? Hmmmm……..

Love spinning! I am giving up the habit to be an early morning seminary teacher. I really will miss my 6:00 am buddies.
